FitNigeria in collaboration with LuxéBeauty lounge and with the support of the Young & Catholic Nigeria has pledged to share our gifts of economic resources, talents and time with our less privileged brothers and sisters and we need YOUR assistance. We plan to raise funds by December 7, 2015. Let's help our neighbors celebrate the Christmas season in a special way and lead into a prosperous new year. Join us in the #iPledgeToHelp movement!
Many of us have enjoyed and continue to enjoy lives of privilege, love and comfort. I was fortunate to complete my university education and work in the US for several years before returning home to Nigeria to pursue my passion in health & fitness. My dream is that through my work, many people who may never had thought it possible will realize their dreams and pay it forward.
I was touched during a visit to the Vigilant Heart Charitable Society Orphanage with Blondie (of LuxéBeauty lounge) when we learned that the mother of the adorable 1 month old baby, smiling in Blondie's arms, passed away during child birth. We quickly came to the realization that for orphanages like Vigilant Heart which houses 42 children (infants to school age) to keep catering for more children in need, they need OUR support and with your help, WE will help.
This brings us to the crisis/scandal of Internally Displaced People (IDP) in Nigeria. Due to the terrorist activities of Boko Haram, many families have been forced to leave their homes to seek refuge across the country. Many have no food, shelter, clothing or family. WE hope to also lend a helping hand to these men, women and children in need.
We realize we cannot solve all the problems but hope that our actions will motivate others to assist in whatever manner possible.

Vigilant Heart Charitable Society Orphanage
- As part of their contribution to the cause, the members and friends of YCN will visit the Vigilant Heart orphanage on December 13, 2015 from noon till 4pm with food and gifts. There will be an outdoor cookout and play session (serving local favorites and foreign treats)
- WE would like to provide following items that are listed as part of the orphanages dire needs:
- Diapers, laundry detergents, soaps and other toiletries
- Medicine etc
Internally Displaced People
- We want to ensure that our donations go towards the benefit of those for whom it is intended. We will therefore be working closely with St. Vincent DePaul society, Church of Assumption, Falomo, Lagos to allocate resources (your donations) appropriately to those in need on a daily basis.
